Jean Coutu Concerts back for a second year

The Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut and its partners are back for the second year with the Jean Coutu Concerts.

In all, 16 concerts will be presented in 2017-2018. Ten of them are already reserved. The concerts will begin at the Philippe-Lapointe Pavilion and at the Tremblant CHSLD on November 11. The Jean Coutu Concerts will then move on to the Hauteurs and Labelle CHSLDs on November 18. There are two dates at the St-Donat CHSLD, November 25 and January 20. Then back to the Philippe-Lapointe Pavilion and the Tremblant CHSLD on February 4, while the Hauteurs and Labelle CHSLDs will host a final visit on February 10.

Strengthening family ties

“Because of their state of health, it is often difficult for some residents to access art and music performance venues, so performers are coming to them,” emphasizes the executive director of the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut, Daniel Desjardins.

The project allows members of the family to come, too, and this helps to create stronger bonds. “Last year’s results were exceptional,” states Mr. Desjardins. “There were people who were no longer speaking but, at the sound of the music, they began to sing.”

Mr. Desjardins wishes to extend thanks to the Fondation’s partners for making it possible for these Jean Coutu Concerts to take place. Among them, the Jean Coutu pharmacies in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Saint-Sauveur, Le Patriote theatre in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, the Société pour les Arts en Milieux de Santé (SAMS), Prodoc and the CISSS des Laurentides.
