The first clothing drop box installed in the region

The Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut again breaks new ground by installing clothing drop boxes to supply its thrift shop, Trésors de la Fondation.

The very first drop box has been installed at Lortie & Martin, located at 20 Rue St-Paul Est in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. “We owe a debt of gratitude to its owner, Normand Lortie, and to its general manager, Christian Bélair,” stresses the executive director of the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut, Daniel Desjardins.

Other drop-off points

A total of six clothing drop boxes will be installed in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. “Negotiations are underway with businesses in the city. The drop-off locations will be made public shortly,” stated Mr. Desjardins.

“What’s important to us is that these used clothes stay in our community and serve the people of the region. It also provides great visibility to the Fondation and is an excellent way to raise funds for the purchase of equipment for our healthcare institutions.”

“Sainte-Agathe is our first step. We hope to eventually cover Sainte-Adèle, Mont-Tremblant and all the rest of the territory,” explains Mr. Desjardins.

Note that the Trésors de la Fondation thrift shop is open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The thrift shop is located in the Place de la Fondation compound at 50 Rue Corbeil, in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
